Every firm is the collection of its people, their skills and core values. By getting to know our Partners, you’ll build a greater understanding of New Market Wealth Management as well.

Daryl L. Deke

Principal and Chief Executive Officer

Daryl has spent over 28 years in the investment management business, providing advice to some of the wealthiest families, largest corporations, endowments and foundations in America. What you’ll notice first about Daryl is how passionate he is about helping clients understand the investment options available to them and how easy he is to talk with. Prior to founding New Market Wealth Management, Daryl held senior positions with a number of investment firms, including Northern Trust where he was a Managing Partner specializing in Alternative Strategies; Neuberger Berman where he worked with wealthy families and large institutions as a Senior Vice President; and at AllianceBernstein where, as a Partner and Managing Director, Daryl developed and ran the private client practices in Texas and Los Angeles. Daryl founded New Market Wealth Management to provide wealthy clients with the sophisticated investment solutions they require, and a level of engagement, client education and service not available at large firms. As Daryl says, “if clients don’t understand what they are invested in, and why, we’ve failed.” Daryl is the former Chairman of the Investment Committee, and a member of the Executive Committee, for his alma mater, the Virginia Military Institute. In that capacity, Daryl has helped create and implement a structure for managing risk that helped the school’s endowment reduce volatility and stabilize its income payouts—goals most individual investors share. Daryl is happily married to his wife and business partner, Sherry, and together they are raising their six children.

Sherry Delaney Deke, CFP® CIMA®

Managing Partner and
Chief Financial Officer

When you meet Sherry two characteristics quickly become apparent: her extremely gracious, warm personality and her incredibly organized mind. These characteristics have served Sherry’s clients well in her years as an investment professional where her focus has always been on planning and problem solving. At AllianceBernstein Sherry ran the National Employee Communications Department responsible for educating and advising thousands of retirement plan participants on topics ranging from asset allocation, investment selection, managing expenses and saving for retirement. At AIG Financial Advisors and later at Northwestern Mutual Investment Services, Sherry worked with high net worth families on similar planning issues, while incorporating taxes, a greater focus on wealth preservation and risk management. Sherry is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) and a self-proclaimed ‘compulsive’ about details. However, Sherry’s extensive experience helping investors plan for the future has taught her that a successful investment plan starts by identifying aspirational goals, and she encourages her clients to plan carefully, then focus on living happily and enjoying life’s journey. Sherry joins her husband, Daryl, as a founding partner of New Market Wealth Management, and as the day-to-day manager of their family of eight.

Jennifer Cook

Partner and Chief Operating Officer

Jen loves efficiency, clear communications and an engaged staff because she knows that when a company is free of bureaucracy and conflict its employees are able to focus on clients. In her 18 years at AllianceBernstein, the last 9 as a Partner, Jen was responsible for a number of initiatives where client communications and service were paramount. She created and ran the training program for Financial Advisors—a five-month course covering investment theory, investment planning, asset allocation and client servicing which set the standard for training in the industry. She ran a Portfolio Management and Client Service group of over 300 individuals with a focus on excellence in client responsiveness. As a Managing Director, she established and managed the Institutional Marketing Department that communicated with the largest and most sophisticated institutional investors in America. More recently as an entrepreneur and owner of her own business, Jen reconfirmed that the key to a successful business is hiring the highest caliber people and building a client-focused culture. This is the commitment she brings to New Market Wealth Management. Jen has two sons in college and spends as much time with them as they will allow.

Zachary Bindler

Partner and Wealth Advisor

Zac joins us from AllianceBernstein where he worked as a Regional Consultant. In that role Zac advised his clients—investment professionals at other firms—on the risk and return characteristics of asset classes and services, and how they should be combined within an analytical framework to create portfolios targeted to specific objectives. Zac’s clients worked with multiple investment firms but looked to Zac for guidance on the implications of adding new investments to an existing mix. In this way, their needs were similar to individuals who have made investments over the years and now seek to invest new funds efficiently within the context of their existing holdings. Zac believes that listening is the start of any planning process. “Rather than telling my clients what I think they should do, we work together to discover the answer which is best for their unique situation.” A graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Economics and History, Zac is a passionate sportsman and sports fan, especially loyal to all the Chicago teams and his beloved Wisconsin Badgers.
